Trade in Services  
     
 

Each Party shall accord services and service suppliers of any other Party treatment no less favourable than that provided for under the terms, limitations and conditions agreed and specified in its schedules of specific commitments in Annex 3 (Schedules of Specific Services Commitments).

Broadly, the schedule of specific commitments include the following:

i. Business services: professional services, computer and related services, research and development, real estate, rental and others;
ii. Communication services: telecommunications;
iii. Construction and related services;
iv. Distribution services: wholesale, retail and franchising;
v. Educational services;
vi. Environmental services;
vii. Financial services;
viii. Health related and social services;
ix. Tourism;
x. Recreational, cultural and sporting services; and
xi. Transport services.


The following articles listed in the investment chapter will apply to a service supplier of a Party through commercial presence in the territory of another Party:

i. Treatment for investment;
ii. Compensation for losses;
iii. Transfers;
iv. Expropriation and compensation;
v. Subrogation; and
vi. Investment disputes.
